For better removal of stains, make a little paste with water and apply directly on the stained areas and wait for a few minutes before washing off. However caution should be taken when washing to avoid any white residue or marks left behind hence using plenty of water to rinse is important.

Good addition to your laundry

Stained clothes? Just add to 1 cup of baking soda to any load of laundry as a detergent brightener. To remove stains from white laundry loads, submerge the clothes in cold water with 1–2 cups of baking soda and 2–8 cups with white distilled vinegar. Let it soak for at least 45 minutes before washing and drying the clothes as usual. It is not corrosive hence it can be used on different types of clothes.

We burn food sometimes. It is not a so good thing to say but if that happens baking soda can really be of good use. Just pour a little amount of baking soda in the cooking pan or grill or any other cooking equipment you were using and add a little water. Let the paste sit for a little while before scrubbing and rinsing with clean water.
